lesser meadow drake

Normally when you think dragons, you'd be forgiven if huge beasts with giant, sky-darkening wings came to mind. But what about the other ends of that evolutionary branch? Surely for every charismatic monster there must be a number of second cousins that scurry through brush and bramble. And so today, we spotlight this little fellow- far distant from the likes of Smaug, terror of punitive mammals and large insects alike. I like to think maybe it's got a the ability to breathe totally useless sparks- possibly a threat display or a courtship behavior, but utterly useless in combat.
